Not sure if the picture showed up but I need help, what should I do to improve my Alexei Stukov unit? His head looks like crap and I've dubbed 3ds max impossible so help meh figure something out.
I must admit that I didn't recognize Alexei. Probably because image of him that was in my head was based on portrait and ingame unit rather than cinematics and campaign select screen model. I always imagined him wearing white admiral clothes. But here I see him wearing some cool leather jacket , gun and those.. ghost boots. And look at his infested form art. He's white in there too.
Maybe I just don't want to see him as a combat unit. He's an admiral. He's a tactician who plans and commands. He should not be on the front lines. On the other hand I could see him taking a gun if his hideout was attacked and he had to get out alive. That could be a cool into mission.
Does Stukov has his custom portrait? If no, I suggest him to make him based on the Jackson's Revenge Portrait: the cap is very similar and he got beard like him.
The infested was actually what I used in reference and then I used his portrait for the colors, I'll go ahead and make a white texture aswell and I found that the scientist has a admiral uniform look to it so I'll try that aswell.
Just curious: Did you modify the models in any way besides changing the texture path? If not, it could save some map space to only import the textures.
I haven't yet because I can't find a tutorial on how to edit models in MAX, I got most of it down but the model becomes invisible. I'm trying to add the beret to Duran and the Admiral cap to Stukov. I tried just textures but can't get normal maps to work when I use that and I'm not to worried about the size as either way my campaign is going to be large and I have no plans to upload to battle.net.

What are all these heroes? I spot Fenix, I think, but I hardly recognize the other ones.
Also, do they have portraits? And where can we download them?
@AlexO6: Go
I'll have them in a mod for my campaign that I'm making right now so hopefully soon
The zealot with white armor in a new guy called Fury
You got Fenix right
The three ghosts in the snow pic from left to right are Duran, Stukov and Kirk (new character)
Cinderlisk (hydralisk firebat) Terminator (standard marine colored Tychus)
Plus there are some unamed Heroes in there as well as retextured standard units to better match the dark awesomeness of the original Starcraft
and almost all of them have portraits Fenix, Fury, Kirk, Duran, Cinderlisk, Dark Zealot and Templar

Ok, nice, then.

Perfect I didn't even thing of that, I'll throw a texture on the portrait and see how it looks thanks!
Which portait do you use for Fenix? The one here at SC2mapster (retextured Karass) ?
@TheTorrasque: Go
I made my own but I did use Karass. Wasn't as simple as a recolor though I gave his face those aged bumpy looks that you see in SC1 using normal maps.
