Hi guys,
for my map i am actually working on some zergish/corrupted interface-designs. Basicly it's just some copy-and-paste from Blizzard-Stuff with a little bit smudge/stamp-magic.
I am going to release them as dds, xcf (Gimp working format) and psd when my map is finished and uploaded to the battle.net. So long you can take a look at what i do here and leave some critics (Random Blizzcon Quote: "Feedback is important").
1. Some Leaderboard-Stuff
You might mention that the shadowing could need some work, because it's very visible through the white background. But you won't be able to mention this ingame, so i will leave it as it is.
2. The interface for my map
3. A small thing for displaying tipps. I am not THAT happy with this one, but i have no idea, why
Yeah, the text was just to test the ingame look and feel. Updated the second picture, this time no screenshot, but added the buttons.
I uploaded two new versions of the second dialog. Well, i prefer the orange buttons, they fit pretty nice. Discuss!
Edit: Well, to be hones, both seem pretty nice. The purple buttons fit good with the creep stuff on the left border, while the orange buttons like the decal. Maybe i should change the decal to a purple color?
My tips are:
- Don't put that broken glass on the first one
- For the last one maybe because it doesn't seen to be a individual window, the bottom part need to be changed, to make this window without any straight lines
@skullbonejp: Go Sorry, but i don't get your point, can you explain your thoughts a little bit more? I really like the tentactle through broken glass effect, it gives a dynamic feel and a little depth effect. And the straight line on the bottom is okay, because it will stick to the bottom of the screen, so it won't be seen.
Hm, i really liked that part, but i will give slime a chance. I have no idea how to create a slimy effect, but i will try as hard as possible.
Not much done today, so no update. Just blended some borders and started to create button effects. Now i have to find out how blizzards button format works (any tutorials on this? too lazy to think!). After the weekend i want all the grafics done and imported and the dialogs created and working (expect some moving parts!).
Some future stuff:
Since i have a little (aka pretty much aka i created fuckin too much in my life) experience with sprite creation i thought about adding fully moving tentacles and bumping tumors, because i want my map REALLY FUCKING POLISHED. So i take the risks of creating 2D-Animations (hurting hands, hurting head and i even heard of a guy eating a living sheep after creating a long animation) just to provide my map a really corrupted feel.
And if this happens even Gorandors starring eye will join the slime.

Feel free to comment whatever comes to your mind.
Looks cool but the font really doesn't fit and maybe fill the background areas for the font with a purplish color.

Needs slime, needs maybe some staring, moving eye and more orange than purple. Gonna keep an eye on this.
Bump. New stuff added.
Its a pretty good work!

For the third one the broken part looks kind of odd. Maybe just add some transparent slime instead. These all look amazing though.
