Hi, I started doing my first model for Starcraft II, it's a submarine:
But I have a problem when I import it into the editor, the textures are ok, but it looks like it has a problem with the normals.
I tried to flip the normals but it looked worst than before...
This is how I see it in the editor:
Thank you for posting.
Yes, I have the normals maps created.
I tried to reset XForm and to flip normals and it worked for parts like the thing in the right wing and the left decoration on tail.
But it still looks like the body it's translucent or something:
(View from under the submarine in the editor)
Can it be caused by drawing order or something similar?
Thanks!
Edit: I have solved the problem, it was in the material of the body. It was marked as Alpha Blend and Now it's marked as Opaque and it is nice now:

Do you have a normal map applied to it? If not it'd be a great idea to make a starcraft 2 normal map texture for that.
The bad parts try "Reset XForm" and Normals: Flip

Thank you for your help!
What do you think of my model?
i love it - looks awesome
Yeah, looks pretty nice :D What program would I need to make models like this? 3ds max?
Thanks! ^^
Yes, I use 3D Studio Max 2011, the tutorials included are very useful if you are a starter in 3D modelling.
Now I'm trying to add some details for finishing the model...
