Im using the .m3 exporter, and so far its working great, except when exporting animations.
I have the sequencer all set up with different animations, and the little box is checked on the exporter tab when i export. my bindpose and basepose are both set to 0 also.
Are there any special things i need to do? or do you think its just a hiccup in the exporter?
Problem with exporting animations from 3dsmax 2010. Is there a step by step tutorial (only for exporting models+animations from 3dsmax)? I have already tried older versions of the exporter.
I can show you how to export animations via skype video stream if you want.
BTW you mean exporting models with animations to .m3 right ?
Yes exporting models with animations to .m3 . Example i imported a marauder model in 3dsmax and it's all right ( textures and animations). I exported it ( without any modification) with name marauder-test, i re-imported marauder-test and animations are disappeared.
Add me one skype, I will show you, and we'll figure out what is you problem. I dislike typing and I prefer showing things over video explaining via voice or using video + typing.
The error is within the script, which I've been meaning to update. If you select 'export hidden' when you export it will export the object that holds animation data as a bone (which it shouldn't). If you attempt to import back a model that has this 'animation data' bone an error will occur. Once I have spare time and am able to update the script, this problem should be cleared up in the future.
Prlugo, what version of the exporter are you using?
My problem was i was using version 1.8 (which i cant find anymore...) i reverted it back to 1.7, and it started working (after fiddling with it a bit)
Also, is there a way to export an animation via biped? i was able to attach it via skin (not physique), but i get an error when trying to export it (Unknown Property: "scale" in [a very long line defining the object]).

Do the different animation overlap on another? Because I'm pretty sure they shouldn't

Use version 1.6b. Fixes it. If it doesn't work then, you didn't weight everything
