fnCreateLayerlayerName=(--// Create layer if it does not exist yet //layer=LayerManager.GetLayerFromNamelayerNameif(layer==undefined)then(layer=LayerManager.NewLayerFromNamelayerName)returnlayer)
download version 0.6. It´s a little down there like on 8th post. It creates Bones or Helpers depends on what you want. It also imports a lot more things. You need to run it twice though, it bugs first try.
Also carefull with some models that have animated textures. It can crash Star Tools but if you save your scene and tweak the animaions a bit, it works.
I've managed to get the 0.6 script working some of the time, but I usually get two or three different errors. I'll post the others once I see them again, but I just got this at the end of an import.
Runtime error: array index must be positive number, got: 0
Hello, sorry for being late for the party, but I got just one question, this tool basically allows to easily import into 3ds max and export into SC2 only NPC models right? Is there an easy way to do that with character models?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for a bit of necroing.
And something a bit unrelated, does wc3 support alpha masking? I'm looking at using Neodex to convert a large number of assets to the Warcraft 3 format, but my experience with wc3 is limited to mdlvis and War3modeleditor back in like, 2009ish.

Hey BlinkHawk, I added this to your script:
This puts everything in a nice layer.

I don't get it, the script already creates layers.
Yeah, I know, but it does not assign any of the objects to the layers, well, not in my case anyway...
I also noticed that my "BoneGeometry" does not work on your objects, since they are defined as Helpers...not BoneGeometry (or bones)

Then it highlights line 3535 in the code.
Here you go. This version fixes those issues and adds NeoDex support for wc3 modelling. So you can use it for both, Sc2/Wc3.

Does this support Warlords of Draenor?
