Portrait Mutalisk is a complete animated in high quality, only the Background is in the way ( by use a near perspektive from behind it is invisible).
The Terror Portrait is complete.
The Armory Model from the Spectre have a "Target" Animation, when used in a near Distance its a high quality ego Shooter Model, when someone delete the crats and the second spectre its an fantastic near sight model.
Is it so awful heavy to remove the little failures for proper use?
A majority of the SM_Models are not properly animated for use outside of very particular instances. Take Nova for instance: Yes she's rigged and TECHNICALLY has animations in her portrait, but she doesn't have a stand, walk, etc animation.
while fooling around I have found that specific SM Models do have some cool little animations that could be useful in games. for example one of the SM people is actually sitting down, also you could use some SM units like the Flagship Station units to make space ship rooms and halls. I do not think that using SM models is really a bad thing its just hard to put some of them into specific situations and all you really have to do is do some experimentation in the data editor to see if they have any abilities or animations canceled. like the civilian's attack is canceled until you set the civilian able to attack. The only bad thing i could see in SM models is the amount of lag that they could easily create if you put too many on a map. and 1 more thing about SM units ill use the flagship station SM units as an example. The flagship station before you set it looks like its going to be set at a spot but when you place it it doesn't show up. I thought the unit was messed up at first but strangely i just needed to raise it UI hight because it was at about -8 even though it showed 0 in UI hight.
I dont mean to "create" Animation new. I mean that some Models are "Complete" from my view, only little things are not good.
The Portrait Mutalisk is "complete" can fly etc.. its okay only the background textur is in the way, when somebody paint it invisible the "new" high quality model is rdy. Or is a complete recreate all from the bottom from such a little change unavoidable?
I don't want to use SM models because they lack many animations and they're out of place without using higher quality assets which are either already used for SM or custom made.
And I'm not dedicated to high poly modeling for SC2 until the map size limit is increased, at least. However, I guess now you could make a lot of mods and stuff models in there to use as dependencies for a map (I think that works, anyway).
On my current project I would prefer to use the SM models. Since the players are only going to control a total of 5 or so units, it can't hurt to have them using SM models. The problem is that I'm going to have to try and animate specific animations, like attack or some for the unique abilities I have planned.
IN the Data Editor i found a lot good Models.

If you think it's so easy why the hell not do it yourself and then post a demo? I'm sure it'll get a lot of attention.
I seriously can't understand what the point of this thread is.
