How exacly would you go about doing animations for the high quality campaign models of Nova and whatnot. Would doing the animations in 3ds max and then exporting and importing into sc2 export the animations as well?
Yes, the exporter supports animations now and has for quite a while now. So yeah, animating in 3ds max and then exporting the M3 files and importing it into the editor would work.
Though, the easiest way I can think of animating it would be grabbing the ghost bones, save just the bones and then open the nova model and merge it with the ghost's bones. Sure you'll have to make some changes to the nova model but will save you quite some time on animating it yourself.
you can do that?!?!? if you can, could u plz tell me how? I'm trying to add animations to a dominion marine ( i made a thread a week ago) but my animations not only looked crappy but they didn't really work too well in the game.
