With the actual version of max exporter you can select the mesh, go to export part of the script and press "add bone" button. Then you need to create Helpers->starcraft 2 objects->tight test, press select bone button on it and pick any bone. And if starcraft2 material is allpied, and this material has diffuse map set up, you can export and it should work.
no but the material is now show correctly and the scene test does not find any problem with them, I downloaded the latest m3 script from sc2mapster:this one
So I decided to teach my friend how to do this as he was asking, and I was using a peon as an example to redo this tutorial to make it more up to date with more images and possibly a video when I have time however I keep getting errors when I try to export the model using the 2.2 scripts
Line 3380 akey.stcInd = M3E_findSTCframe akey.frame
Anyone know why this might be?
I know the model may be the issue I will try it with another, it'd be nice to find out why it does work.

Should of read the whole of this thread post above seem to indicate the new plugins do not work as well as the old, will try the old and 2011 see it that works.
2nd edit* 2.1 plugins have the similar issue
line 4347 if (curMap.mapChannel > 1) then layr.uvChannel = bit.set layr.uvChannel 1 true
3rd edit 1.7 version just gives and erro about the mapChannel
I tried to convert some models with this, but every time i import the models into editor, it does not show them, but i can select their animation oO.
@Domper: Go
Are they editable meshes? Have you applied sc2 material to them? Are mehses skinned?
@Zolden: Go
I aplied the materials as the tutorial said, what shall i do with the mehses?
@Domper: Go
"I just applied sc2 material, removed shity attachments or particles or whatever it was, and skinned the meshes"
@Zolden: Go

@Zolden: Go I don't have Starcraft 2 objects->tight test in the create/helpers option oO Everything else is fine
@Domper: Go
Does "everything else" include the fact, that you managed to successfully import the model to the editor?
If you don't have tight test, update your m3 scripts.

In 2011 64 bit I get
Line 1150 modl.sc2tight[1] = M3E_Tight.init()
In 2012 I get a different error.
Line 3380 akey.stcInd = M3E_findSTCframe akey.frame
