Since I'm really loving Heroes of the Storm ( duh ), well the models anyway
I made a small composition of the NE models that I found that could serve for the Warcraft III remake units
Couldn't hand-draw normals, because details were too small, there's also some uv-mapping imperfectnesses, but after all it looks unbad. Made non-metallic parts a bit tinted with team color, also darkened diffuse to make speculars play better. Good quality of animations together with higher poly count make this model look noticeably better than WoW models, even though texture resolution is as low as most WoW models hasve, 256x256.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT !!!! ( jumps on desk and does a backflip !! )
FINALLY it WORKS !!!
Animations are supported !!! After months of f*g breaking my head, throwing pens around, cursing the paint of my walls, reading other guys codes (without understanding), etc.... my script imports animations from Starcraft 2 AND Heroes of the Storm!!!
And yes it does support m3a files !
Lots of caveats still but I will work on that before throwing it into the wild :)

Aren't there paladin-alike monsters? Like the ones in D1 hell. I'd use any, just pick the one, that would take less time.
Here is one that I had laying around it is a angel trooper. Max file is fine ?

Would you like to add this guy to your assets?
@Zolden: Go
You can put them to yours, no worries
The textures for most of D3 are pretty low quality, and the D3 engine does not have normal mappings.
It looks pretty cool overall.
@handclaw102: Go I think I'll do that, well for the humans anyway
@Triceron: Go I particullarly like the Druid of the Talon :)

well that feels very cool ingame
Adun Toridas :)
@TaylorMouse: Go
Well, for undead it can be done to a degree, too.
We got:
Arthas -> Deathknight
Anub'arak -> Cryptlord
Stichtes -> Abonimation
Army of the Dead -> Ghouls
Scarab Host -> Carrion Beetle
Summon Sindragosa -> Frost Wyrm
With some some work, one could also create:
Mercenary Mage (from the knigh groups) -> Necromancer For example Skeletons -> Skeleton Warrior
(bit more difficult, though.. )//
Finally, if we are lucky, we might get some kind of Banshee Asset with Sylvanas.. Though wouldn't count on it.
Dunno if I missed anything. '
There is actually a ghoul, it is a minion from Arthas in Heroes
here is the composition, for so far I could find, although I think Sindragosa looks "exactly" taken from wow :)

Just noticed one more thing that can be added: The Summoner would be a great Acolyte!

Indeed :)
