Hi TM! Love your work, and I've started mass-importing WoW models into my map thanks to your tutorials! Can I ask where you get your WoD models from? I would like to request a brown (native) orc model from WoD but I figured I could do it myself if I get my hands on the m2 :P
Hi guys, been working a long time on this, but it is not ready yet,
it is an 3D Studio MAX Import Script for the WMO model files of World of Warcraft that also supports the Warlords Of Draenor ones.
It currently supports the header files and the group files seperatly
It allows the import of placeholders of the m2 files ( represented by dummies )
It supports the bounding boxes found in the models
Here is a little peak on what I'm talking about

Next up is the support for materials and then I hope I will be able to apply the textures to the meshes
this is the result without manual interveniance, the grey meshes indicate that the blp file was not found automatically, that's mainly because I extracted all the data from the casc files with a file list that is not up to date
so what was added:
- automatically convert the blp texture files needed for the model to png
- apply the materials, with the correct shaders and flags ( transparency etc)
I will not be answering questions if it is in my explanation, obviously :)
Todo:
Have a ui that allows you to select the nConvert.exe and the path to where you extracted your WoW data, so you no longer have to edit this in my script
Support for automatically import M2 models with all there stuff ( except animation ) found in the WMO files and of course apply the materials.

That Medivh look awesome, you could do one corrupted (the recent) and one uncorrupted version of it (wc3 style) :D Narudek made a decent job also

So I upgraded my script
