There's a very weird thing happening on one of our maps. I've set up attack waves in the AI module and the AI is building the correct units and sending them out. However, instead of actually attacking my base, the AI is camping its ground units outside. The air units, on the other hand, attack like you would expect.
Now for the really weird part! When it hits the last attack wave, ALL of the enemy units that had been camping outside swarm the base. From that point on, the repeated attack wave at the end behaves correctly.
Does anyone have any ideas what could cause this? Posting the map would require uploading the Episode 3 mod, or I'd do it.
Vision was my first guess, but that didn't fix it. The suicide trigger would have been a great idea! I ended up just rewriting all the AI module stuff through triggers, but I'd love to eventually understand why this bug happened.

Perhaps it's a vision issue?
If all else fails just put a trigger that tells idle units in the camping area to suicide into the player's base

AI send attack wave on player, point?

Yeah, the target point was within the player's base, but they still camped outside.
Anything change if you didn't have a target point? Cuz then they just go for whatever is closest.

They went to the same place regardless of whether or not there was a target point.
