Goal: Based on the Protoss Carrier, I am trying to create structures that will launch ground units to respond to events i.e. enemy within range to attack, injured allied/player units to heal, damaged structures to repair etc.
Accomplishment: I have successfully created a structure to deploy offensive units when within structure radius and return into the structure once the target is out of range or defeated.
Issue: Currently, I am working on a structure that launches medics to heal injured allied units within range. I created a custom attack ability that targets allies/player units, assuming that the Magazine effect is treated as a weapon and the structure will use it only if it has an attack ability. The medics deploy when an injured unit is within range. BUT, the medics are not recalled BACK INTO the building and thus cannot be re-deployed.
I'm not sure how to attach a validator to a weapon. But, from your post, I was able to solve the problem by adding validators to the Magazine and the Create Persistent effect to deploy only if there was a unit in range that did not have full HP!
You add the validator to the first effect the weapon uses.
Also it is just DrSuperEvil. Only reason I have this warped name is because of the twitch merge and some joker had made a dead account on twitch which has no uploads or ever had activity. Also they said it was just for the Gamepedia account that had assimilated our wiki. Next thing I know my original name is gone.

Make the dummy weapon of your structure validated that it cannot target fully healed units?
