Each player in my game has his own unit. With same model. I would like to set name of unit to player name. As far as I know it cannot be done by triggers, but there is buff that can set unit name to text. There is text data reference with player name:
Sadly adding such tooltip crashes the editor. I've created 13 buffs (one for each player), with separate texts, and added them to GameStrings.txt. It works in game (testing in editor), but when saving all entries are removed (text just vanish from GameStrings.txt), so I cannot push it to battlenet, also it would have to be redone each time I publish map. How to get around this problem?
Text data references can only do integers. You can use triggers to hookup the UI element used for the name and just change the text. You can also attach a text tag to a unit or set the unit info.
