Sorry for the lack of proper [?]. New here. Need help.
I have been playing SC2 a few months. My eight-year-old son enjoys the game. I already have family in the US and Thailand, and friends around the US, for people I know to play with.
The game has many ways to adjust the difficulty, but for the sake of being family-friendly needs one more. Even if I set the "unit health % handicap" to 50% I will still out-Macro my son so badly that he cannot win.
A more exciting game for both of us would be an Extension Mod providing a lobby option for "pay % of income as tribute to player X". In the lobby I could set which player to pay tribute to, and at what percentage.
Someone at a SC2 forums pointed me here. I can handle object-oriented programming, but should probably just commission someone to make the Extension Mod since I have a lot on my to-do list.
The game is a great tool for teaching a wiggly kid how to pay attention to more than one thing at a time. Can you help make SC2 more fun for my family? If so, what is a fair cost of the amount of time and work required for this project?
If this is just for you and your kid, in a 2 player game, I think it would be very easy to add a trigger to maps. I have never done extension mods, so don't know what your be dealing with.
For triggering though, I could make you something you could paste into any map to work. Something like "tax 2 60%". Ect, giving 60% of income to player 2.
Anyone who has made extension mods may be able to implement the same in a better way. The triggering doesn't seem complex.
