Err, is that a one time action? What I'm looking for is something like the Xel'Naga Tower, except that it would transfer control back and forth between controlling players and the neutral player.
Can be made to be either. Just have a Buff that uses a periodic Search Area that then uses Apply Behavior to add a second Buff to the caster that changes the ownership. The first buff is disabled by a Unit Compare Behavior Count validator when the second buff is applied and the second buff is removed by an Enumerate Area when there are no units belonging to that player in the area. The target of the Search Area effect is used as the reference effect for determining which player gets the unit.

I guess its possible to use the Interact ability, and then use a behavior that enables/disables itself based on a validator to check the Interact ability? Does the Interact ability return caster and target values?
i believe its possible to share control of a unit with a properly set up interact ability but selecting the proper flag in that units data. This Flag being Share Control. If i am not mistaken it gives Full Control over a unit with the interact ability as long as that unit is neutral AND a player unit is in range. this can be used for making neutral shops that the player can buy items from as well as units.

Not with interact ability.
Just use a behavior-based periodic search in area and transfer ownership to the first unit encountered? (and remove the behavior)
Just needs an Enumerate Area validator on the applied ownership changing buff to remove it when there are no un its nearby.

i have tested this and units produced are not neutral. i will test for other things as well.
