how would i go about this so i have an effect create unit at target can i want my tank to always shoot that unit and only that unit not a unit created by another tank or would i have to use triggers creating a mortar tower
Not quite sure what you are saying, but if you modify the tank, you are able to change how the weapon picks its targets. It naturally hits the closest unit. You can change it to attack the highest health unit and others I think.
What I want to know, is how you can make a unit target the ground even when there isn't a unit there. Example, siege tank attacks an area, not a unit.
maybe find the Tank`s Seige weapon , find out how he targets ground ( witch effect or behaviour it is )
and then maybe use a VAlidator to make sure he always attacks the unit that HE Spawns by making a custom validator.
what u might need to do with that doh , cause i dont think you can have unit Attact a marine mroe then a other .
give the tank the ability to spawn DIFFRENT type of units , then use triggers that if a specific unit is out , the tanks spawns the next one on the list.
that way each tanks have there own Units to attack.
and then WORST case , you can then go change the actor of all does unit to all look the same. so if used a drone , a probe , a marine , a firebat , change the actors so they are ALL marines. ( it wont chaneg the actual Unit. just the model )
