Sorry if this is the wrong place for this. I frankly didn't know where to put it. I've seen the HotS militarized transport and it has dominion decals and i want to remove them so they switch depending on the owner's decals. My question is if the decals depend only on the model texture and can be edited on photoshop or something or if it is a model issue...
Thanks in advance

I dont know if that model has an actual decal texture, in the right slot for its material, or simply the dominion decal in its diffuse texture. I believe this is an issue with the model/texture.
Some models have very weird settings. Spectre model has the decal part of the textures, Medivac Upgrade changes decal but they all become white even if you use a colorful one. Not sure for militarized transport as I haven't seen that model yet, (I am seeing the last missions of the hots campaign hihi, still not seen Korhal)
Hmm, i double-checked the model it works fine. But the WoL colonist transport doesn't. Also GhostNova's umojan marine doesn't seem to have any decal shown.
I guess my real question should be, if a model doesn't have a decal, how do i fix it? Is it a texture or a model issue?
I dunno how to edit a model, i have 3dsmax but dunno about the pluggins needed, on the other side, i could probably edit myself the texture.

I'm in the exact same situation there (: I have 3ds max, applied even for Art Tools but my whole idea getting it was to export my own models to SC2's M3 to use it like an export tool. Other than that I can model, texture, animate with Milkshape 3D, I am far not into texturing or modeling with 3ds Max. I think it is in the model itself where among the materials you assign, you assign a slot for decal. You can get the plugins from here:
They can serve just as well, I have no idea how to add decal to the model but I suggest importing any M3 model with its textures and reverse engineer it, see how the decal is placed and do the same.
