Quick Reference Data Module
KEY: Text in gold is either a hint or recommendation that might not be obvious.
NOTE: This is truely alpha/beta and is the information i am collecting as i go along learning Galaxy and the editor. Any issues/errors please let me know. Thanks! The Data Module is physically broken up into two areas. On the left is the picker and explorer where you can choose the particular type of data you want to see, and on the right is the actual details of the one you have chosen. The picker is actually two sections that has a Object Picker on top and the Object Explorer. This is an example of the Object Picker: The picker allows you to select the type of object and the specific object you are looking for. The details of the object itself will be shown in the Object Explorer in the bottom pane.

Menu to pick the Data Type you want.

Shows a description of what the data type is.

Shows heading/field name & data details in either GUI or RAW (Galaxy language\Unformated). Unless you are an expert leave set to GUI mode.

A horizontal group of tabs that allow you to pick the Data Type you want to see. Right Click over any of the tabs and choose Close All Other Tabs before starting a project. As you look at certain data types a tab will be added.

Menu to pick the Data Source you want.

Shows either Tree or List mode for the Data. If you are used to WC3 then use Tree if not use List.

If you alter an existing unit this will toggle the base unaltered unit to show.

Toggles on/off Object Explorer below the Object Tree/List.

Searches by partial names in the Object Tree/List.

Object Tree/List shows all the objects that are of the Data Type picked above. Headers can be clicked to sort the Object Tree/List.
Here is a portion of a sample Ghost unit in the Object Explorer: Based on the specific object you pick, in this case the Ghost you will see all things related to this object. To see the field and data on the right just click on any of the object.

Shows currently selected object

Each object can have multiple object/data types. They are sorted alphabetically.

The specific objects are listed here and can be selected to view the actual details of the object in the right pane.
