I have 3DS max, but haven't really started to learn yet, though I did modify a texture once...can I join your group or should I have more experience first?
i definatly know that blizz used max and maya for sc2, so these will most naturally have the least problems when there will be plugins available...
the other stuff is up to u!
i mean, u can model all those little details in max if u want and then make a lowres mesh out of it or u could use zbrush /mudbox / or even sculptris (a free sculpting program) for highres and then get it back into max or whatever!
technically even blender or anything else would work, in the end u only need an exporter, or a way to change the model's format...
(e.g. u can export to .obj from blender and then export with one of those obj to .m3 exporters i have seen around, though those dont convert animations i guess)
i definatly like the max / zbrush / ps combo, though i am thinking of changing to sculptris...
i would say: stick to the program u are used to!
andthere is nothing such as use this its the best, everything has its flaws!
First of, I'd like to say sorry since my english isn't the best ;) So please don't hang me when I am srewing up the gramma.
To get things started here I'd like to start a discussen about a 3D-Designers weapons of choice when it comes to modeling for SC2.
Since I have spend the last week on a researching to create a nice tube for SC2 modelling.
But all I've found out that there are multiple ways to get from your first meshes to a SC2 character.
Now I'd like to ask you guys which programs you suggest, like:
"... you'll have the fewest problems when moddeling with Example1, texturing with Example2 and exporting all with Example3..."
I'd be realy thankfull if you'd take the time to answer this call.
