Sybax Sep 10, 2010 at 09:03 UTC - 0 likesI don't know if this might be appropriate now, since it's been a while, but I have made a V-Tec Paintball map very recently. Hell I just finished a few minutes ago. And I now find someone else has tried to remake it. But I see that your version was incomplete and was part of BETA. I have fully completed my map, with all the right triggers and what not. If someone reads this I'd be surprised lol. I would like some insight on if I have infringed on anything.

I would definitely like to help you, but I'm completely new when it comes to the SC2 map editor. I was really good with abusing the limits in BW with the later editors (even made "water" units), but this is really complicated.

Xorgat3 May 01, 2010 at 06:37 UTC - 0 likesNetDudex: Yes I'm aware that the team thing is an issue, but I'm not sure what changes are going to be made in the near future as far as player teams are concerned so I was holding out for any upcoming changes. It seems likely we will eventually get the ability to assign teams in the lobby like in sc1 and wc3.
Bajista: I'm looking into 3rd person views now, I'll add an option to switch between default cams and eagle eye in the next version.
Hakuma: This sounds like the correct behavior. Note that when you capture a flag you get two units as opposed to one. The "select a unit" morphlings do not have any collision so they stack on top of each other and look like a single unit. This is the logic: One unit to start with, grabs enemy flag, returns enemy flag to base, remove flag carrier, spawn two "select a unit" morphlings, player picks two units, etc. If this is not the case and you're not experiencing this behavior please let me know so I can look into it more.
Thank you all for your initial feedback, I will be checking back daily (or as often as possible) to make sure nothing gets overlooked.

HakumaMM May 01, 2010 at 05:07 UTC - 0 likesFound a bug, I think.
Playing by myself.
I chose the zerglings, went and grabbed the ring with one, returned it to my base. When I went to choose my unit I had the changeling and the zergling selected and told them both to go to the Immortal beacon. Two immortals came out, and I still had my zergling.
I sent my zergling to get the flag again, brought it back, left both of my immortals on the beacon and moved the changeling to the immortal beacon once more, and now I have 4 immortals.
Not sure if this is a bug or just the way it is suppose to play.

Bajista May 01, 2010 at 01:30 UTC - 0 likesi think this needs the 3rd person view to make it really fun. mind if i add it in to try? cuz SCmapper has a pretty good one. Only thing is i wouldnt know how to apply it to this because it requires a unit to be initially created.

NetDudex May 01, 2010 at 01:16 UTC - 0 likesIm going to say.. atm you cant really have 14 players so having 1-7 and 8-14 on the teams will only work when its a full game. you should ask set it up so if you have a small ground it would put them onto teams accordingly. like 4 players and 6,8, 10 etc...
