Starcraft Prologue Remake

Table of Contents

This is a remake of the first original Starcraft prologue map (excluding the tutorial).

I tried to stay true to the original map while adding some extra spice to it.

Features day/night cycles, short cinematics, original tech tree, and build/attack AI.

I would appriciate any feedback you can give me and please say if you want more of these maps.

The map is currently in beta.

The map now contains the original tech tree INCLUDING the firebat.

Things missing in the map:

- Lip synch (not sure how to do this yet)

I hope you enjoy.

New version has a lot of changes. Please see the changelog for an almost full list.

Thanks to Vailreth for adding the Firebat, and other data-editor changes :)

u know, Starcraft Precursor has like 6 missions or so.

amazing job, make more. The map is well done because you really paid attention to the details, adding a lot of cool doodads, voices and staying true to the actual scenario. (units, tech tree, terraining, triggers). It really felt like the original period. Others opt for quantity over quality and make a lot of remakes but don't spend much time on each map, making it boring, easy and not a true remake.

I fucking love this please make the whole campaign, and while your at it make BW campaign to awesome map. when i destroyed the base I just walked around astounished by how great this map was!

The portrait models not lip syncing isn't an issue. Blizzard simply did not include those animations for the beta editor..

Nice map, makes me long for the sc2 single player game.

Could be a bit harder though.. its rather easy when you are used to the beta multiplayer macroing :)
I tried to make it a bit harder by adding some Siege tanks for fun.. but that made it to hard :/

Good job, one thing though in upgrades and for the academy tooltip it names Marauder instead of Firebat.

Ah, I think it's because of localization issues after the patch, I'll look into it. The units should have the real names on the enGB version. Will update it shortly.

The upgrade you weren't seeing was the marine's U-238 Shells upgrade (+1 range)

EDIT: Localization should be fixed now (again)

nicely done. i'd be willing to help out in the continuation of this project if you're going the full 9 yards. i'm pretty good with terrain. the only issues i noticed: The hydra that chases the marine out of the marine wasn't flagged as hostile, neither was the marine. Unnamed upgrade at the academy, the non-stimpack one. not sure what it did. Legacy units still have their current names, i.e. marauder and ghost academy.

Nice Map. Was fun, thanks. The only problem I ran in to was the medivac didn't do anything and it's model didn't load. I could only tell it's location by it's health bar.

On more or less all custom maps I've downloaded, on any place it there should be some sort of text, it only says "param/value/...". Does anyone know how I can fix this?

What localization are you on?
I think I fixed the localization issues for enUS and enEU

If you tell me your localization I will try to fix it and upload a new version.

@ghsi123 Hmm, it works for me. What file is it missing? Might be something gone wrong while fixing the localization issues.
