Guardians of the Sacred Shrine

●▬▬▬▬ஜ۩ [WIP] Guardians of the Sacred Shrine ۩ஜ▬▬▬▬●

  • Objective: Destroy the enemy shrine by capturing and holding more towers. The team with the least amount of towers will have their shrine slowly degenerate.
  • Game Style: Inspired by League of Legends' Dominion mode, 10 players will be divided in 2 teams of 5 players, exactly like Dominion. Each player will pick a DotA/HoN-style guardian (Hero/Guardian) which will have four abilities and 6 inventory slots for items.
  • Map: The map is very similar to Dominion from LoL. It contains speed boosts, minor health regen boosts and grass to juke enemy heroes. There are a total of 5 towers on the outer rim of the circular arena with 2 team shrines where players can go back to heal and buy items at any point in the game.
  • Guardians: The guardians will ressemble DotA/HoN (Heroes of Newerth) heroes. All heroes will have four abilities which includes a powerful ultimate (4th ability) which can be cast using the keyboard letters: Q,W,E,R. Players will also be able to combine items together to create more powerful items which can be equipped in battle. These (Maximum of) 6 items will be bought using gold, a currency which is gained from guardian kills, creep kills and GPM (Gold Per Minute)

-Stats save in a bank to reload when you come back
-Token shop to customize your Announcer pack, alternate unit model and unlock more guardians (coming soon)
-Unique playstyle. No other custom maps are based on Dominion.
-Unique guardians (heroes) with some unique abilities.
-Teamwork is required and capturing towers gains you rewards to further push team play over solo play.
-Levels, Heroes, Items, Announcer voices, unique hero selection screen, leaderboard, and so much more!

Will More Guardians be Added After Release?
Yes. I plan to keep releasing patches if it gets any popularity.
How does tower capture work and is it complete?
Tower capture is tested and working. Using the very cool effect animation of the Drakken Lazer Drill (from campaign), I created that same lazer which the player can activate simply by right clicking on a tower. The lazer is channeling and can be interupted at any point by the player or an enemy. The tower is only captured when the channel is complete. In the case the channel is broken, the player will need to wait 3 seconds before he can capture again and the tower will immediatly start regenerating the lost shields at a fast rate. If the tower is captured, it will fight for your team. Believe it or not, creeps do help! Your team's creeps will attack enemy towers, lowering their shields. Creeps CANNOT capture a tower for your team alone. They can destroy the shield but a player will need to target it for 1 second to finish the capture (This was done purposely). Towers get captured faster if two players capture it at the same time.
