Explosions!
Current Version: v4.2
e-mail: [email protected]
Channel: Explosions

Game is now online! Search Explosions! on the Search Bar!

Goal

This game is a simple Tag / Survival / Cat vs. Mouse style of game. There are two teams of 5, one consisted of Survivors and the other of Exploders.

As a Survivor, your goal is simple: Survive! Avoid dying as much as possible.

As an Exploder, gain as many points as possible. You gain one point per kill.

Features

  • Players can vote for the game settings and the level selection.
  • Four completely unique levels to choose from.
  • New experience system that will grow into an unlock system.
  • A series of Challenges to unlock for extra experience.
  • Kills, Deaths, Games Won, Experience and Challenges are saved between games
  • Custom game mechanics.

Game Settings

When you enter the game, you are greeted by the Game settings vote. The vote consists of:

Time Limit
Choose between 2, 3 or 4 minute rounds. When the timer ends, a new round begins.

Amount of Rounds
Select between 2, 4 or 6 rounds. When a round ends, the teams switch sides. If all rounds are done, the game ends.

Abilities
Triggers abilities On or Off.

Level Events (NOT IMPLEMENTED IN VERSION 4.0)
Triggers Random Level Events.

Don't worry, if a player doesn't pick a game mode, his selection will be picked at random.

Level Selection

Next comes the Level Selection vote. Pick between 4 custom levels or choose Random. If a player doesn't pick, his selection will automatically be random.

Note that the Voting system will automatically pick the first option if some of the selections are tied. For example: If there are 2 votes for Random and 2 Votes for another level, because the Random is first on the triggering list (In the editor), this is the option that will be chosen in-game.

Levels

Dream Desert
Travel through the lush sands of Dream Desert. Oasis, trees and spire rocks are mainly what consists of the environment.

Random Event: [Sandstorm] Decreases vision and pushes all the units in a random direction, decreasing or increasing speed depending on the movement direction.

Lava Spire
Sizzle up in the zerg environment, where large spires, lava and creep clouds infest the environment around you.

Random Event: [Meteor Storm] Rocks fall randomly around the map, killing units instantly if the unit is inside the area.

Underwater Kingdom
Hold your breath as you dive in the depths of the ocean. Watch the fish swim around and glance at the corals around you in this wet environment.

Random Event: [?] This is where I need your help. Please leave a comment if you have any ideas as to what I could add as a random level event.

Lost Temple
Tread amongst the remains of a Protoss temple. Observe the statues that glow and stare off into the void.

Random Event: [Rebirth] A Stone Zealot forms on the circle and starts wreaking havoc around him.

Chaos City (Coming Soon)
Walk among the remains of a once beautiful city, ravaged by the Dominion. These are the ruins of the peace the world once hoped to attain.

Random Event: [?] I would also need help to find a random event for this level.

Abilities
Survivors
Stimpack: At the cost of 15 health, gain a boost of speed to escape the grasp of an exploder. Will make you vulnerable to your next hit.

Exploders
Creep Tumor: Creates a Creep tumor that will spread creep over time, but lasts only for a limited time. Creep slows down Survivors.

Burrow: Burrow your Exploder and move faster while remaining unseen to the unsuspecting Survivor.

Experience
Experience rewards the player with special unlocks, a little like the achievement system Starcraft II has. There are 10 current levels, each rewarding a special unlock. Unlocks are currently not available in version 4.0. Here is a list of ways to gain experience:

  • Completing Challenges. More experience is gained depending on the difficulty of the challenge.
  • Attacking Survivors. Each successful attack dealt to a survivor will give you one experience point. Kills included.
  • Multikills. Along with the nice effects and the pride that comes along with the event, multikills grants you 1 experience point per extra kill.
  • Dealing the First Blood. Don't worry, each team has a First Blood. This grants you 1 bonus experience.
