Battle Royale
"At the dawn of the millennium, the nation collapsed. At fifteen percent unemployment, ten million were out of work. 800,000 students boycotted school. The adults lost confidence and, fearing the youth, eventually passed the Millennium Educational Reform Act, AKA the BR Act...."
Based on the Movie, Battle Royale is 3rd Person Shooter immersing YOU in the Battle Royale Program!

- Full 3rd person Shooter controls~ WASD to move (strafe to dodge gunfire bullets or arrows etc), left click to shoot weapon, right click to use support backpack item/weapon, and spacebar to melee attack)
- Each player has a student randomly selected for them (all 42 students of class 3-B are playable)
- Every student gets the weapon that was assigned to them in the movie, ie. fork, machinegun, paper fan, grenades, shotgun, etc, and you kill other students and loot their weapons
- Any slots not filled by human players, will be filled with computer AI, that can run around, shoot, attack, dodge gunfire, like a real human, (but they don't pick up items or enter houses) for 14 players FFA mayhem!
- New weapons can be found by killing other players and taking their loot, or by searching in houses, which have a randomized loot table of 100+ different and unique weapons ranging from potassium cyanide, to baseball bats, to special guns (sniper rifles etc)
- With randomized assigned students, randomized start locations, randomized start orders, randomized danger zones, randomized weather, randomized loot table of houses/stores of 100+ weapons, each game is guaranteed to be unique and different from the last.

Battle Royale is my favorite novel, movie, and a great manga (another manga takes the cake), and so of course during the heyday of Warcraft 3, I just had to make Battle Royale map
Now its time for Starcraft2, and with it a Battle Royale for the Starcrafters in all of us!
BTW In 2009, Quentin Tarantino listed Battle Royale as his favorite film released since he began directing in 1992.
Looks great! The only problem I have is that the UI could use a bit of work.
good !!!
Updated with:
Its not as good as the other "real" guns, but atleast everyone will have something to shoot with at the start
:D I think the map sounds cool, would have loved to try - but in EU :( But yeah it looks cool and don't let those "ill come with bad comments from what I see in the little screenshot" get to you :D
Clearly you don't understand what I'm talking about. So I'll skip it.
Bottom line: the ground texture is a bad idea, the wow models are unnecessary.
good luck.
The neon circles on the ground are specific to that area, not all places have to have gravel as the texture...
Have you played Star Ocean 3 JRPG on PS2? there is an entire city where the ground is gold and shiny and then there are another entire city/town where the ground texture is all blue...
That sort of unique texture is what I was going for in my maps town area (which is only 1 area out of 12, which other areas have other different textures such as the "regular" textures like grass, gravel, dirt, sand etc)
And the WoW models are actually fitting the map more than SC2 models, this map is not supposed to be SC2 themed... its not in space like SC2, its more of like WoW where there are forests, towns, cities etc.
Also, shouldn't be using unique models for each character? Umm I think you are missing the point, this map emphasizes the differences between each student (42 students in total), and each has a unique personality and playstyle that they pursued in the movie, thus different models, stats, weapons, etc are a must.
There aren't 100 weapon models to put on each unit model as attachments, which is why I didn't try to put attachments,
if you mean attachments where any missile shoots out of the unit, then WoW models work completely fine, the spell animation sync up with any abilities that launch missiles.
The textures just don't blend in well, like your ground textures, especially with the trees. All of the "neon" places in the world don't have weird silver circles as both the sidewalk, street, and every other city ground texture you can imagine. And you shouldn't be using unique models for each char, the civilian and colonist models should work just fine. It's just a HUGE waste of file space to import WoW models, especially because they don't fit the SC2 theme at all.
it would just be attachments for the weapons.... you wouldn't need to do 100 different models per character -.-
SC2 doesnt really have enough unique models for 42 characters, so thats why I used some of the cool ones from WoW, and even though they might not use attachments, its kinda too much to put in attachments for 42 models + 100 different weapon attachments heh
About the terrain, You don't like neon themed city? perhaps too bright for you?
why use a WoW model.... especially one that doesn't use attachments... Also your terrain is ugly :S at least in the screenshot, poor choice of textures.
The UI looks ok, but could use some improvement.
looks cool enough. i might have to try this out =)
