F0rmless Aug 28, 2010 at 01:20 UTC - 0 likesPlayed it through to the end and the title "Basic RPG" explains it well. Don't want anyone to take that the wrong way cause I would wager Cantido can make a great rpg if he puts in the details beyond the game mechanics. Hint hint. =)
Only bugs I encountered were the 4th Forge had nothing at all to sell, and I received no item drops after the 3rd Forge all the way to the final boss.
While it is a basic rpg, it has elements like the shop and player stat progression that no one else has really done yet (so far as I've seen). Nice bit of coding. Make a detailed rpg map with all the doodads etc or a more detailed version of this one Cantido, and I'll be the first to test it. :)
So no one gets mad... !!! Spoiler Alert !!! If you just want to check it out and blast through it quickly, play as the Zealot (strength-based) and by level 20 (not far in) you'll be invulnerable using the Ultimate Shield. 15s god-like shield, 15s cooldown. -As of Beta v1.3

Darthturtle Jul 16, 2010 at 22:14 UTC - 0 likesDT is absurdly hard to play. I don't know if i'm using it wrong, but each time I go against a boss, I bring like ten clones with me, and then throw them all at the boss with my DT in the back, applying stim as soon as my hits start landing to get maximum damage. This is not enough to survive the queen. With low defense and no burst damage skill, I get nowhere, even with the great attack speed.
Also, blinking still blows my equipment up. Found that out the hard way.

cantido Jul 14, 2010 at 16:15 UTC - 0 likesEveryone, thank you for the suggestions!!!
I added a healing thing, so when you step on it, it increasing you health regeneration rate.
I think I narrowed the problem with items disappearing down to the yamato gun ability. Anyone know why that would cause items to disappear, or a fix?

LeetBox Jul 13, 2010 at 15:31 UTC - 0 likesThere's absolutely no way to heal.. How are you supposed to continue without waiting every time your health is low?
Its fun i guess.. very basic but thats all its supposed to be.. add to it when you can.. i hope this evolves into a fun multiplayer game.

yukaboy Jul 13, 2010 at 14:35 UTC - 0 likesWanna know what this level needs? It needs a way to heal ur hero faster. U could either add a healing spring or something that heals u to full health when stepped on, or u could make health potion items.

Eldrazor Jul 11, 2010 at 16:10 UTC - 0 likesYou might want to check the veterancy stuff if you're not changing anything inventory-wise.
Thinks he has Data Editor under control. Data Editor thinks otherwise, though.
