Looking for someone to have a go at this terrain. I've already built the base so it should be alot easier. If you've ever played Trivial Pursuit it will definetly help. Attached 2 screenshots, one of the current board and one of actual game.

Ideally someone with some ideas on how to make it look truly good and really feel like a boardgame.

    Anyone interested?

the over all lighting needs to be set (then i suppose you got to put a specific doodad (the light emitter kind) for each color (so your "buttons" glow).. you might even try adding triggers to make each color get highlighted when the player hoovers (with the mouse) over a specific one ...

thing is .. you need to test the changes every step of the way ... so i would do a dummy map...

with a black (shadowy) background with light neutral coloring (check the alpha) in the middle... and "x" dummy color patches (one for each you need green yellow red etc) in the middle.. and then set them just the way you like them ...

(you might want to add doodads for darkness / black in the middle 'patches' between the play lines)

if a master lighter were to help ... that would be cool (just get her/him to do you the background / front colors thing :) )

ps: i am tinker test tinker tester .. i hate tutorials .. so i am no such thing as a master anything in galaxy :^) :°) (': ($:

you could download 3DS Max and just make a block with one solid color of your choice and export it as an .dds and use it as a terrain texture.

Looks amazing. My only criticism would be the colour could differ from each other more, pink and purple? orange and yellow?

But great job. Where are you intending to go from here?

Here are the colours we chose:
