So uh, where's the thumbnail in question? We can't have a wild and hooting "Blizzard's policies are insane!" circle jerk without at least seeing the evidence of their prudishness vs your perception of what that word means, now can we?

im officially speechless this time. I can usually kind of get an idea where they are coming from but.... wow. (they did say no pictures of Jesus in the rules) but still..... this was not a bad image, in fact, i think it works perfectly with your map... And my fav part, is hey banned your wow account for your sc2 map...this is epic indeed.
They blocked all my accounts WOW and Starcraft 2. OMG. I don't play WoW, but starcraft 2...

thats just crazy, I mean, your map broke the rule, but...it didnt do it in a.... not sure how to word it, a "Strong" way. and they ban your whole battle.net account... there is something wrong with this... something very wrong. I usally dont get worked up on things like this, I mean rules are rules. But...for such a small thing, to start banning you in an unrelated game...
any religious imagery is grounds for instant map removal. Offensive or not, they just decided to label it as offense, even if they didnt, its still would have been removed is all im saying

One thing you can do, if you're stuck with no trigger solution at all, is to use the data editor. Pretty disgusting, but it could save your map. *Proceeds to use the data editor with utter horror*

Still, I think its lame that Blizzard suspended your account. The image itself was not offensive, Inappropriate yes, but not offensive. Im really sorry.

Anyway. I think its quite stupid they suspend accounts. If the map hurts them, why not disable Publishing maps for X days

It is not offensive in any way, but obviously it is religious, and blizzard does not want people to get mad at them for having religion in their maps. At least it was just a 3 hour ban but..shesh. It is for this very attitude from blizzard that I have refused to post on their forums unless I absolutely need to talk to them for some odd reason. The risk of being banned is waaay to great because ANYTHING can get you banned. But I'm thinking that cool halo style map is going to get the author banned because of copyright stuff if he isn't careful. When I first saw your map, I actually was surprised you chose that picture for a DoTa map. Its not offensive at all, though. Blizzard could of at least given a warning.

That's why it is a 3 hour suspension, not a permanent suspension.
And banning you from Battle.net as a whole is what is happening now, not just one game or another.
Yes but blizzards theory is you are one person across all the games. If you are a rule-breaker in one game, you are in ALL the games. This map is not offensive in any way. But it does deal with religion, which most of us don't really mind but we all know blizzard doesn't want to get sued by people who are offended somehow. Like I said, stay AWAY from battle net forums people are getting banned left and right.
