Joe gon' give it to ya
Fuck wait for you to get it on ya own
Joe gon' deliver to ya!
Knock knock, open up the map it's real
With the non-stop, pop pop and stainless steel
I'm not even sure how to respond to that lol, but nice rhyme.
huh -_-. Never become a rapper... lol
Those lyrics are DMX's. I'm disappointed in many ways right now.
I watched that for 1 minute and the video already went in a loop like 6 and a half times, catchy tune. I hope you didn't watch all 10 hours in 1 sitting lol. I like the quote tho :D
Hey Everyone, Thought I should announce the winner!
Congratulations to : hobbidude!!!!
This is the terrain that won:
Joecab - Loved your lighting effect and the general feel of your terrain, it was quite well done! TY.
MichaelKnives - Beautiful Arena, Nice use of doodads and a very unique layout, although too big :( sorry.
I would like to thank everyone who participated on behalf of the MA Dev team, hopefully in the future I can offer more cash for competitions on SC2 Mapster :)
Thank you everyone, you were all very pleasant :)
Nooooooo!!!!!!! Not like this... I have been defeated. I really thought the minor increase in map size would be compensated for. Especially since I extended the map for the octagon shape of the cliff region which could have been modified but I didn't have the time to (or have done so in the first place. Well I suppose I will use the layout for one of my own custom maps. I suppose that I could release the design on the web site for anyone that is interested in modifying it for their own arena map becasue it was a pain in the ass placing all of those ground decals and ground props. I still need to find a way to make them show up for low res.
I have to give hobbidude props for his Protoss temple map. But thematically it would fit in the event you could choose zealots as your primary unit other then marines.
Thematically it would be cool if you had a contest (In HOTS) for a Zerg/Protoss/Terran Arena. I imagine in March you will have to recreate the map anyway because the update may break your original code for triggers and there will be a ton of new terrain objects like modular walls and intractable turret platforms that will allow map designers to develop new innovative arena designs.
Next time I will claim victory >:D (Provided I haven't finished my own custom map by that time)
Grats Hobbidude! It could use some more detail, but overall looking pretty sweet. About time MA got a Terrain worthy of it's position in the pop list =P
