    Hi there,

I am currently making an indepth rpg. For one the the heroes I want to use the Medic model. Because it doesn't have an attack animation I would like to attach a orbiting mini science vessel model that shoots a beam for the medic when it attacks. I have looked around online but nothing explains it. Any help would be great. thanks ahead of time.

So you want the science vessel to be selectable or just a visual?

    Thanks you Grenegg : )

Dr SuperEvil, Yes the science vessel with float by the medic and when the medic attacks it will show a beam between the science vessel and target. the weapon would be attached to the medic which has no attack animation

@Sushi5000: GoThe point of DrSuperEvil's question is: you need the SV to be a separate unit? The simple attachment method doesn't work for units. If you need it to be a separate unit then you would have to use a workaround.

But you can make it an actor and attach it.

Also, there's a model in the assets section of a medic holding a gun, just saying ;-)

Oh well i dont need it to be a unit. I just want it to be the start of the beam. Ive been messing around with attaching it but I cant figure out how to make it float beside the medic

Use a SOp (Rotator) to turn the attachment before using a SOp (Lcal Offset) to make it at a radius.

For the shooting part have a Site actor created on it and make the weapon Action be forced to use it via the one flag ans setting the site in the Combat: Launch Site field.

Create them and add them to the site operations field of your attached model.
