I am trying to get the Default (Insane) Computer AI to attack a player target, (Xel'Naga Shrine IV) or something like that. I don't want to run a specific (Attack target ai script) Rather, I want them to attack it at free will. I want to modify the properties of the Xel Naga unit so that the AI thinks its like a nexus or just another build that it can destroy. So far I haven't been able to get the computer to attack it even when there are no other structures or players on the map and its the only enemy structure available. I tried changing the AI tactical filters and adjusting the priority of the target. I changed the attack priority to 255, the maximum as I thought that would do the trick. I still haven't had any luck. Anyone have any ideas? I don't really want to use triggers to accomplish this goal if I don't have to.
Have you tried the AI... fields on the unit? Tactical AI and Tactical AI Function seem like a good start, maybe also set AI Evaluation to Nexus too.
