Hello there, i seeking some help with my work, but heres a quick video bellow of the subject ( ignore upside down text, i wanted a video converter free at the minute, and i got one lol )

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EBOV568uiXg

It's my Swarm unit and have but two issues with it.
-Team Color: I like to change 1 part of the Razor Swarm model, to show the team colour of the unit ( the circle 3D model part so tinted by the team color )
-Model is "bugged" as abilities and stuff dont get attached to it, i investegating this atm, but if one know the answer and dont mind to share, it be superb.

Any help be nice, thanks in advance =)

    1. I could be wrong but I strongly believe that it is impossible to tint colors based on the team Colour solely using data. You would either have to try something using triggers or make a swarm unit for each team Colour and then use triggers to create the right Colour unit based on the team Colour.

    2. You might want to check what Attachment points the unit's model has and make sure that that the actors for your abilities don't target Attachement points the model doesn't have. Looking at your video, it looks like you used the razor swarm model which probably doesn't have Attachement point may be a problem.

You are strongly mistaken. :) Teams colors via tint in actors is possible as i have team color projectiles in my own map.

First of all, your map looks awesome as fuck. I didn't really see the sphere you were trying to team color though. Could you take a screenshot and point it out with an arrow or something?

Anyways, couldn't you just do a texture swap on the model you want to team color? Use a texture with an alpha that lets a lot of team color through.

    thanks for the replays!

i've managed to solve the main things. Namely targeting, and the team color too by using overseer and overlord models as core for the swarm ( cloud remains as seen in video )

and yes, texture swaping i was looking for and still do, tried before but with little luck back then. Any step by step tutorial for it? As sure i gonna need it soon.

You can try the map any time, it's on both EU and NA servers if searching for Star Armada, currently triggers being worked on .
