(Solved) Pylon power field radius, how to modify?

    HI!

I resently made some pylons that have different power source radiuses but the power field is 7.5 radius and the power source is only 2/5/8 on my pylons. This would work for the last one but for the other two i would need to change the radius of the field to match the source radius. I'm looking and playing around with the "Splat" actor/model but no success yet.

    Any suggestions?

    @ElBushido: Go

Go to the behavior Pylon - Power Source and change the radius to whatever you want it to be. (This will also change it for the existing pylon, so you should consider dublicating it for a new unit)

@Demtrod: Go Thx, but thats not the problem.

The problem is with the field (visual) that is seen around the pylon!

The radius of the power the pylon generates/gives of is 2 (for pylon # 1), 5 (for pylon # 2) and 8 (for pylon # 3), but the visual field (model?) around the pylon is 7.5 so I need to shrink it to the same radius as the power radus the pylon emitts.

your going to need 3 model actors one for each size I would imagine, and then just create them :P

you will have to figure out the size though.

my maps will always be Free. and Available to the public at the earliest possible date.

If you need a tester feel free to ask IShadowWolf.258

Thx, but 3 actorsd of what?

My first step was to change the scale of the pylon (need it to be smaller than original), but that dooesnt change the radius of the field...

OH KAY THEN YOUR NEW TO ACTORS :P I suggest you read http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/resources/tutorials/4656-data-working-with-actors-beginner-difficulty/#p6

The model you need to duplicate I believe is called Powerfield or Pylon Power or something like that.

    LOL your funny !!

First try than speak. If don't know the answer try to help instead of beeing cocky... The scaleing of the pylon's actor has nothing to do with the VISUAL field around it. The 1 your talkin about is power source and that also doesn't change the VISUAL field only the power field that you use to warp/biuld in... There are also no specific model actor in the pylons data..

But w/e I found the actor "PowerVisual" but the connection is a bit funky (didnt find it yet)

First... I knew exactly what i was talking about and when someone is trying to help you, you dont insult them, unless you come from trash that is very rude.

Second... The actor is called Power Duplicate it twice and one go to the events and do this

    Behavior.(Your First range behavior).Start Create

Behavior.(Your First Range Power behavior).Destory Destroy

on the second Behavior.(Your Second range behavior).Start Create

    Behavior.(Your 2nd Range Power behavior).Destory Destroy

on your third. Behavior.(Your Third range behavior).Start Create

Behavior.(Your Third Range Power behavior).Destory Destroy

.. There ya go... since you wanna play stupid, but dont wanna take the advice given.

No, some of you SC2 mapster people act like assholes, even though you do it by accident ... unintentionally ... I share the OP's sentiment. I also thought the same thing when I read that response of yours.

There are some member's that I visually ignore, no matter what they type.

Well thx for the detailed version of your answer a lot more helpfull than your 1st post... Even tho you still talking about the power field(energy) not the field of it (Visual)

This is how I changed the visual part of hte field:

Duplicated actor "PowerVisual" (nad model) changed scale on the actor, connected it through: unit -> pylon -> actor oblect "power" visual array -> changed to my duplicate.
