(Solved) Fear Ability

    I've been frustrated with the data editor for hours now.

    I want to create an ability which scare surrounding units to run away from the caster, like the priest -spell "fear" in world of warcraft.

    So far I have duplicated the psionic shockwave ability. I've put the height numbers in the effects "psionic shockwave (lower)" and "psionic shockwave (raise) to zero, and that actually makes it look like the units turn around to run away instead of being blasted away.

    The problem is, they only run 1 square and then stand there doing nothing for as long as the spell is supposed to work.

    Now, I know it would be to much to expect them to run around randomly, but I would like them to run a little farther then that one square.

    I suspect it either has to be "psionic shockwave (apply force)" or "psionic shockwave (search area)" that need to be tweaked.

    Can anybody help me?

    Making a fear spell using forces, that's a neat idea.

    What you need to do is use a persistent to apply the force many times over and over again. After the force is applied, the units stop unless you apply another force. A persistent on the caster can use a search to apply another force several times using the "Effect - Period" field.
