I'm trying to get a worker to auto cast "gather" when a mineral patch is close.
I create a new ability, effect - target and a validator with enumerate area that check for mineral patches. I get this to work perfect if i select a effect like "suicide", then the unit die as soon as it come close to a mineral patch. When i try to make an effect that issue order to gather the target then nothing happens, if i change the ability to another ability then the damn unit does it... Why dont it work?
In the auto cast ability, how can i make the unit to stop and then cast, right now it does not cast until i stop the unit.
Set the Ability Command to the right number? Check how the mule issue order does it since that tells the mule to harvest a mineral.

its set to 0 just like the mule
Tried adding a Set effect between the ability and the issue order? It might help.
Nope, that dont help either :(
I also try to geta simple mothership beam to work while mining but i dont get teh attackment point to work at all, please try and fix that if you can, should be fairly easy for sombody who have worked with beams before :)
Added a dummy Damage effect?
To the set? Did that nothing happens.
the autocast ability triggesrs when there is a mineral patch close but its like the issue order effect dont work at all.
Well it works for mule so must be something you have done.
Mule dont have a dummy damage, at least i cant find it.
Was refering to the issue order.
Now i'm even more confused :s
Seriously how freaking hard can this very silly thing be? Order a unit to mine the target... its so simple, 1 effect 1 target.

Hmm. Seems I cannot get the SCV to autocast anything. Making an ability that orders to gather no probs but autocasting even a simple damage effect does not work.
