    Basics of AI Module

    Still learning about how AI Module works.

    So things I learned

    • Dont Wait
      • For two waves to spawn at the same time "dont wait" must be checked on the first wave's settings
      • "Dont Wait" also allows units to be created at different places at the same time by creating two waves at the same time

    Timings

    Arrival Time


    Arrival Time is the time given for attack waves to transit to their target.

    Notes:

    • extra time not needed for transit....
      • wave will go to gather point
      • wave will wait at gather point

    Gather Time

    • Gather Time delays the spawn of attack wave units
      • still unclear what gather time does
      • I leave gather time blank in my maps

    Thanks for this video. "Campaign AI" is not enough anymore so remember to activate these AI triggers:

    "AI - Start AI personalities for all computer players"
    "AI - Run all attack waves for all AI personalities"

    Good call Terhonator.

    Also I plan on redoing this video in the coming days. It will include more advanced AI tools and focus on simplicity.

    what is the advantage in doing a wave AI this way instead of setting up attack waves in the trigger editor?
