Due to a popular demand, the WoW Boss Contest has a 3 days extension. It now ends monday at midnight so that you have all the weekend to polish your boss :)
It's friday, a lot of things are happening during the weekend, here's a recap
Note: I give Paris time because it's clearer than some weird things like CET, PST ... Basically if you are in europe there are great chances you are in the same timezone as Paris. If you are in US West coast is -9 and East coast is -6.
NotD: Night of the Dead by Ability and Earendil
NotD is one of the few maps that provides several hours of content. It's a 8 player coop survival featuring 3 chapters, 8 unique classes with their own sets of talents and a really nice implementation of items (probably the best one I saw so far).
It is published on Europe and really deserve to be played :)
Mama They Gonna Eat My Base by PinkyBlue
If you want to promote your map I would tell you that making a video is a great way to do it. And I would add that making a fun video is even better! Look at this video by PinkyBlue to show off his map Mama They Gonna Eat My Base :)
Quick note: it's only published on RU realms, he is looking for someone to publish it on other realms.
Demon Hunters by Triceron
The Demon Hunter was one of the most loved Warcraft 3 units. Triceron decided to struggle with the mdx importers and to fully import it on Starcraft 2. The result is really great :)

NetStorm by depthsofchaos
Ever played NetStorm before? t's basically an RTS taking place on islands in the sky. You have to build bridges to approach resources and enemies while building different kind of cannons to secure your position. The core gameplay is relatively simple but the strategies available are really complex. You can also download the original game here for free, and of course, check out doc's remake by clicking the link above.
Crush Company AI by Bibendus
This is an awesome map to check out as it's based on old arcade games of Beat'Em Up style like Golden Axe or Double Dragon. It gives you a sense of nostalgia due to the side-scroller effect. In this video, Bibendus is showing off the fully triggered AI and Abilities of the first boss.
EVE to SC2 Model Conversion by TheLaughingMan
Want to use EVE Online Models within your SC2 Maps? TLM created a nice, simple, step-by-step guide to porting them into your map. The best thing is, you don't even need to register for EvE Online! You just need to install the game so you can extract the models and that's all.

New Theme by Profet
Profet from sc2galaxy.net (french) worked hard on the new Mapster design. Before releasing it to all of you, we would like to make a beta test. If you want to get a preview of the new theme just click the "Switch" button in the following links:
If you see glitches with the new theme, please report them in the comments!

This is a pretty urgent thing to report because it could damage or potentially completely ruin your video card if it's ignored. The latest NVIDIA drivers, 196.75-WHQL released on March 2nd, 2010 are causing issues with the video card fan control while playing Blizzard (and other) games. This is caused by the Automatic Fan Speed feature being broken in the latest drivers.
The games included are: World of Warcraft, StarCraft II Beta and Warcraft III. If you play any of these games (which I'm pretty sure you do if you're reading this website), you'll want to roll your drivers back to earlier versions until this is fixed, unless you want to replace a video card within the next few days.
To find out what version drivers you're using:
